Thursday, September 15, 2005Update on classesWOW, there's a lot I'm supposed to know now that I just don't.Hermeneutics is going well, pretty much. I'm pretty close to being up on my reading, only being slowed by taking the best notes I've ever taken while reading. If I push just a little more, I'll be in fine shape for the Mid-Term. This stuff is really interesting, and I'm loving the class. Particularly when Dr. Curto shows us how we are to apply this in the pulpit/other areas of ministry. The class discussions are very fascinating. Greek...wow. When I'm doing the assignments, I feel almost adequate. And seem to be performing that way, too. Even when I'm off in my pronunciation or translation, I'm within spitting distance. But when I'm just sitting there trying to memorize paradigms, declensions, vocabulary, etc., I'm just overwhelmed. There's just so much I have to learn, and just don't seem to be able to store in the ol' noggin. Mid-Term in 2 weeks, guess we'll see then what actually sticks... H. C. jotted this down on 10:03 AM.
